Our process
We started by mapping the existing customer journey and how metadata was added to Ledendeals. From both perspectives, we looked for missing information, unnecessary complexity and points where users got stuck. We turned these insights into new flows and prototypes, and ultimately designed both the customer experience and an internal management tool.
For members
The existing design gave members too little information about conditions and discount codes. We explored how deals should appear in the product comparison tool and on product pages. We introduced a dedicated ‘Ledendeal’ tab and a modular text system with placeholders, keeping information accurate across hundreds of different deals.
For employees
For employees, we designed the Odin CMS. It provides an overview of sources for each partner and a detailed view where deals can be scheduled, published and taken offline by product, product group or range. We also helped define the XML product feed format partners use to submit their data.

Wrapping up
We tested Odin with internal employees using seven realistic scenarios. We also reviewed a proposed app concept and joined the internal Innovation Days, where we worked on concepts for the homepage, the ‘Actions & Claims’ page and a new membership page.
From insights to design
Digital standards and research insights formed the foundation for a new, intuitive comparison tool with clear filters, easy-to-scan results, transparent differences and logical next steps. We designed the new Ledendeals within the Consumentenbond design system, helping us stay consistent while keeping development moving quickly.
Innovation days
During the Innovation Days, we designed three concepts for the Consumentenbond:

We share our journey, the lessons we learn along the way and everything that keeps us cool.
